How to Create a Powerful Resume

You are maybe wondering why you dont hear anything from any employers you have been applying and might end up thinking why somebody is being hired even though they may not have been the best candidate for the position.

In this highly competitive job market, one of the most important things that you will consider is your resume.

Resume must be structured so that the employers will find it easy to find your value that you could bring to the organization.

Here are some ways to consider in making a resume:

1.Make a list of your previous employment including the dates and the positions. Add your skills acquired, educational attainment, personal projects and all the things that would impress and makes it interesting to anyone.

2.Research for a list of the positions that you are applying for. Pattern your skills to your prospective companies. If possible, list your experiences in terms of achievements and accomplishments rather than responsibilities and tasks. Indicate your success and emphasize different set of skills in the resume.

3.Keep your objective short and straight to the point in one sentence. Make sure that the positions you are applying do not contradict your skills or objectives.

4.Make a fresh look of your resume without errors and mistakes, free from red or green lines. Keep it in 2 pages maximum, or 1 page for newly graduate without any job experiences. The font size should not be too small nor too big, 10-13 font size will do as long as it is readable. Use black font color, except if you want to emphasize publishing skills or artistry. Keep it clean, formal and organized.

5.Dont forget to include contact numbers, email and home address. If possible, get a fresh email address that you will use for this specific job search and make sure that you choose an appropriate name to be formal.

6.Proofreading is very important to keep it free from mistakes. Criticize your resume as well to improve.
